  Palm Sunday [ April 9 ]

  
  

  Talking about Easter, here’s Palm Sunday, the Sunday before Easter that marks the beginning of the Holy week. As kids, my sis Becky and I were in charge of keeping all the palms safely while the rest of the family wished each other. The palms that are given out in church on Palm Sunday are symbols of Jesus’ victory. So celebrate this holy day with your folks and send them some warm ecards in a wish for their well-being.

   Passover [ April 12 (sunset) - 20 (nightfall) ]
  Here’s a Jewish holiday next in line—Passover ! Have the traditional meal Seder, the matzo and celebrate Passover (Pesach), the joyous festival of the Jews marking the historic Exodus of its people from Egypt. This festival is observed with a lot of feasting and drinking together. What’s most interesting is that much of the food and wine consumed during Passover have symbolic connotations. Like the matzo, a flat, unleavened bread, symbolizes the bread that the people of Israel ate after they left Egypt. So on and so forth. If you want to know more, check out our Passover info.    Good Friday [ April 14 ]
  Good Friday, as you all perhaps know, is the day commemorating the crucifixion of our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ. The significance of Good Friday is enormous as it was on this very day that Jesus, the son of God, forgave the sinners before drawing his last breath on the cross. For some, this is a day of mourning and for some it bears the promise of a new beginning. Now whether you spend the day in mournful prayers or by expressing your deep gratitude to God, make sure you understand the value of this sacrifice and spread the message with thoughtful wishes.
