  Are you a sunflower?
  A sunflower closes when it gets dark;
  when the sun goes down
  the sunflower,
  even though it is beautiful
  closes up and hides it’s beauty
  Are we like sunflowers
  Do we close up
  when the light is not there?
  Or do we open up
  and lighten up
  the darkest corners of the room
  and the darkest corners of the world?
  Do we let our beauty and light shine
  even when the sun does not?
  Let us open up our inner beauty
  and shine our lights
  Not close up when the light is gone
  Let us be the light that carries others
  on their darkened journies
