  Forever Love
  Forever love is a great goal. But how do you make forever love a reality. Here’s five tips to keep the love alive forever.

     1. Don’t Go Changing
        We are the way we are for a reason. The behaviors we exhibit usually suit our lifestyle. Of course, if you pick your nose at the dinner table, that’s an easy thing to correct, and eliminating it won’t cramp your style much. But if you’re timid and that bugs your partner, then there’s a problem. Overcoming timidity is difficult. What’s more, your timidity may not be hampering you in life. Trying to be more assertive to please your partner may be more trouble than it’s worth. Talk to your partner about whether or not this is something you can both live with over the long term.

     2. Magnify the Positive
        Many people take a magnifying glass to the negatives and gloss over the positives. Try turning the magnifying glass around to accentuate the positives in your relationship. If you’re spending hours talking about why the garbage didn’t go out last night, but forgetting to treasure a fantastic night of dancing, then you’re missing the big picture.

     3. Focus on Giving
        Too many people spend time questioning if their partner is giving enough to satisfy their needs. It is better for each partner to focus on giving 100% to the other person. That way, everyone is both giving and receiving 100% of what they need and desire.

     4. Spend More Time Together
        If you spend much of the week apart, then on the weekends commit to running errands, attending soccer games, and doing chores together. While dividing and conquering speeds up task completion it does nothing to make up for the gap in quality time together from a week spent apart.

     5. Express Yourself
        You may know in your heart that you love your partner but unless you consistently communicate your love and positive feelings, your partner may question your commitment. Find easy ways to emphasize your feelings, such as flowers, love letters, and even holding an embrace a few extra seconds.
